AIR CURTAINS

An air curtain creates a stream of air that covers the entire width and length of a door opening, preventing the flow of unconditioned air into a conditioned area and of warmer air into cold storage areas. They can also help to repel insects, dust, and debris around loading docks, creating more comfortable working conditions.

Air curtains offer benefits in a variety of applications: loading dock doors, high-speed doors, warehouse doors, food & material processing, manufacturing access, distribution centres, hangars, sliding insulated doors, insulated panel doors, swing doors, personnel access doors, and more. We carry models to fit any opening up to 30’ wide by 50’ high.

Many air curtain manufacturers point their blowers straight down, leading to dead spots around each motor, noisier units, and unwanted air transfer. We supply units from Powered Aire that direct the fans to the rear of the curtain to create a Plenum effect. The result is a much quieter unit and steady airflow across the full width and length of the opening.

The Cooler Aire Curtain™

Ideal for use on both fabric-paneled and hard-paneled high-speed doors, the Cooler Aire Curtain from Powered Aire is an ideal solution for applications that require exacting temperature control.

Featuring a unique Plenum design, the unit assures an even airflow across the full width and length of the door opening. This is in contrast to other manufacturers who design air curtains in which the blowers in the unit point straight down, resulting in dead spots where each motor is located. This can allow warm air to flow into the cooler, defeating the purpose of an air curtain.

This unit is designed to work with your existing infrastructure. For fabric-panel doors, a controller with preset and adjustable functions can be used to cycle operation on and off during times when the doors are not in use to keep the panels dry. For hard-panel doors, a timer control can be used to keep the air curtain running for a set period of time after the door closes.

The Freezer Aire Curtain™

The two-speed Freezer Aire Curtain is used to help solve problems at freezer door openings that result from extreme temperature differences from one side to the other. This unit helps to prevent fog from forming when the door opens, moisture and frost on door panels, and ice buildup inside the freezer door opening and on the walls.

Designed to work with your existing infrastructure, the unit comes with a controller that provides strategically timed heat and fan functions for around-the-clock protection from moisture, frost, and ice buildup on hard-panel and high-speed fabric freezer doors. It has both preset and adjustable functions.
